Walsall residents encouraged to have their say in borough-wide Polling District Review
Published on
Walsall Council is calling for residents to have their say on polling arrangements in the borough. This includes feedback on the accessibility and suitability of polling stations for disabled voters.
Under the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013, a review of polling districts and polling stations must take place every five years. Interim reviews may also be conducted throughout the five-year cycle when it is deemed necessary.
Residents are welcome to suggest different places that could be used a polling stations, as well as alternative boundaries for polling districts.
“ We encourage residents to share their views on Walsall’s polling arrangements to help ensure the voting process is as easy and accessible as possible. Your input is vital in shaping a system that works for everyone during elections. “
