A hearing at Dudley Magistrates Court on 14 February 2024 heard Robert Andruskiewicz, aged 40 from Charles Foster Street, Walsall, plead guilty to his offence.

Mr Andruskiewicz admitted to fly-tipping a fridge on 13 December 2021, during which time he was serving an 18-month suspended sentence for previous convictions and was driving whilst disqualified.

Magistrates found Mr Andruskiewicz guilty of his offences, and as a result, he was disqualified from driving for six months, ordered to serve 100 hours of unpaid work, and fined over £1000. The fine comprised of costs to the council, a victim surcharge, and the breach of his suspended sentence order.

“ We want people to understand the consequences of fly-tipping, as the council is committed to taking action and keeping our borough as clean and green as possible.

Leaving waste at the side of the road has such detrimental impacts upon our environment and communities, and we will continue to prosecute those who break the law.

We can’t do this alone, so if residents spot any fly tipping activity, please report it with the council. “
