Walsall Council intensifies efforts to combat environmental crime

Walsall Council has continued its commitment to preserving the cleanliness and beauty of the borough through the diligent efforts of its fly-tipping task force.
As part of the environmental crime scene project, the task force is actively deployed across the borough, cordoning off fly-tipped waste and scouring the streets to apprehend offenders.

Throughout this month, the task force has been particularly active in addressing environmental concerns in the Bloxwich West and Willenhall North wards. These areas have been under close scrutiny, resulting in significant strides in tackling persistent issues such as dog fouling, asbestos waste, discarded needles, and fly-posting.
As the month draws to a close, the team’s focus will shift to addressing issues in three additional wards - Short Heath, Willenhall South, Bentley and Darlaston North.
