Published on

Walsall Council is celebrating Black History Month from Sunday 1 October to Tuesday 31 October 2023.

Black History Month

The theme for this year's Black History Month is 'Supporting our Sisters' and the council is celebrating the contributions of black women and girls through a series of events.

“ I am delighted that we are marking Black History Month once again. It is a time to reflect and celebrate the contribution of black people to our society, and to learn from their struggles and successes.

I am particularly proud to be highlighting the achievements of the black community and I’d like to encourage all of you to get involved in local events and show your support. “
