Running from 11–15 May 2026, Mental Health Awareness Week (opens in new tab) will shine a spotlight on the importance of not just understanding mental health but actively taking steps to improve it. This year’s theme, Action, highlights how small, positive changes can make a big difference to overall wellbeing.

A packed programme of events will take place at Bloxwich Launchpad throughout the week, offering residents the opportunity to learn new coping strategies, access support services, and connect with others in a welcoming environment.

The week begins on Monday with Real Talk: Awareness of Sickle Cell, Men & Wellbeing, delivered by Plasma of Hope, creating space for open and honest conversations around men’s health.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, sessions will focus on mindfulness, employment support and personal development. Visitors can take part in meditation and breathwork workshops with Mettaminds, while Shaw Trust will be on hand with its Connect to Work programme, supporting people facing barriers to employment. Hypnotherapy sessions led by Johanna Marshall will also help attendees build confidence, reduce overwhelm and improve emotional wellbeing.

Thursday offers a range of immersive and practical experiences, including a sound healing and gong bath session, a Mental Health First Aid and Suicide Prevention course, and free NHS health checks, helping residents take proactive steps for both their mental and physical health.

The week concludes on Friday with more free NHS health checks and a fun, accessible walkFIT session delivered by The Getting Fit Company, encouraging people to get active and boost their mood through movement.

“ Bloxwich Launchpad knows that modern day life can be difficult and making time for you can be hard, however your mental health is a priority, your happiness is essential and your self-care is a necessity. Come and join us this week and make that time. “
