A statement from the Mayor of Walsall following the death of Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Kent.
“ We were deeply saddened to hear of the death of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Kent. She was admired for her lifelong commitment to music, young people, and public service.
On behalf of Walsall Council, including our Members, staff, and residents, I wish to convey our deepest condolences to His Majesty The King and all members of the Royal Family.
As a mark of respect, the flag outside the Council House was flown at half mast from Friday evening until 8am on 6 September 2025. “
