Road closure order for Remembrance Day parades

Across Walsall, a number of road closures are planned for Remembrance Day parades and services on Sunday 9 November 2025.
On the day, events will be in progress between the approximate hours of 9am and 1pm apart. This excludes Walsall Wood, which is expected to take place between 1pm and 4pm.
The areas affected are as follows:
Aldridge
The parade will start from the Aldridge Community Centre access road the cenotaph via Leighswood Road, from its junction with the A454 Aldridge Bypass, Westfield Drive Roundabout to its junction, High Street, Rookery Lane and throughout the entire length of The Green Road. At the end of the service, the parade returns to the community centre via the reverse route.
Walsall Town Centre
The Parade will start from St Paul’s Street through Hatherton Road, A4148 Littleton Street, Lichfield Street, Lower Bridge Street, through The Bridge, Bradford Street and Bradford Place.
Pelsall
A short parade will be held from the High Street to the cenotaph at the junction of B4154 Norton Road, through the entire length of High Street, Station Road, Victoria Road, Railswood Drive, Church Road and Chapel Street.
Walsall Wood
From its junctions with B4152 of Salters Road / B4152 Brownhills Road Brookland Road, A461 High Street, throughout the entire length of St John’s Close, Coppice Road and Brook Lane.
Brownhills
From the Memorial Hall on Barnetts Lane the procession will reach St James’ Church via B4155 Lichfield Road Great Charles Street and Church Road. After the service the parade will return to the Memorial Hall via Church Road, Seeds Lane throughout the entire length, Narrow Lane, New Road, Short Street, Bricklin Street, Vicarage Road, B5011 Ogley Road and B4155 Lichfield Road.
Willenhall
The parade will start from the clock tower and travel to the Cenotaph via Market Place, Stafford Street, Wolverhampton Street, Temple Bar, Moat Street, Union Street, Cross Street and Field Street.
Short Heath
From Church Road, Bloxwich Road North, A462 Lane Head Bridge, Coltham Road and A462 High Road to reach the cenotaph at the junction of A462 Sandbeds Road and Haley Street. The parade runs through High Road and returns to Church Road via the reverse route.
Darlaston
The parade will travel from King Street to St Lawrence Church via Victoria Avenue and New Street. Following the service, it will reach the cenotaph via Church Street, Crescent Road, Rectory Avenue, Mallow Close and Victoria Road.
Bloxwich
The parade will take between Harrison Street and the cenotaph on A34 High Street. Access to the area will be affected and roads will be closed from the entire length of the Market Place, Elmore Row, Samuel Street, High Street, Reeves Street to B4214 Elmore Green Road.
Streetly
The parade will start from Streetly Community Centre to All Saints Church (both on B4151 Foley Road East). Then following the service, the parade will reach Lindens School via B4151 Foley Road East, B4151 Foley Road West, Grosvenor Avenue, Mayfield Road, Ferndale Road, Bridle Lane, Hundred Acre Road, Fordwater Road and Silverstone Drive to finish on Hundred Acre Road.
Except for emergencies, Walsall Council has suspended road works for the day wherever possible on Remembrance Day.
