Rare plants for bargain prices at Walsall Arboretum’s Annual Plant Sale

Bargains galore for gardeners will be on offer at an annual plant sale held at Walsall Arboretum.
The Walsall Arboretum User Group’s annual plant sale takes place on Saturday 11 May 2024, from 1.30pm to 4pm.
Members of the team have been preparing for weeks by germinating seeds and dividing herbaceous plants from the Woodland Garden and their own gardens, while even badgering friends to do the same.
A wide range of garden and house plants will be available on the day, sold from three gazebos situated outside the Woodland Wildlife Garden, alongside the path from the Grange Car Park towards the children’s playground.
“ It’s almost time for the annual Walsall Arboretum User Group plant sale again.
“In 2024, we have battled cold and rain to bring our usual collection of plants you won’t find in ordinary garden centres and at prices you won’t have seen for years.
“We’ll have woodland plants, plants for shade, houseplants and some generalists to give your garden something different, so why not pay us a visit. “
Cash is the preferred means of payment, with one card reader available on the day for emergencies.
Proceeds from the sale go to WAUG’s funds, which are spent in ways the group feel will benefit Walsall Arboretum.
Boxes and bags will be available to help people take their purchases home.
