The New Art Gallery Walsall joins Bloomberg Connects

The New Art Gallery Walsall is the latest organisation to join Bloomberg Connects, a free mobile app featuring guides to hundreds of museums, galleries, gardens and more.
The Bloomberg Connects guide provides visitors with a digital companion to enhance their visit, offering easy access to information, interpretation and behind-the-scenes insight directly on a smartphone or tablet.
Through the guide, visitors can discover more about some of the gallery’s most celebrated works, including the Garman Ryan Collection, as well as current exhibitions. The guide also includes practical information about the gallery, such as floor layouts, access and facilities, alongside content exploring the history, architecture and development of the building itself.

The guide can be accessed through the Bloomberg Connects app or via a mobile web browser and is designed to be used both in the gallery and beyond. Visitors can explore content at their own pace, revisit favourite artworks after their visit, or plan ahead before arriving.
A built-in translation feature allows the guide to be viewed in over 50 languages, including French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese, helping to make the gallery more accessible to a wider audience.
To get the most from the experience, visitors are encouraged to bring a smartphone or tablet and headphones. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the gallery to support use of the app, with reception staff on hand to help visitors get connected.
