Mayor Elect confirmed for 2025/26

The Mayor Elect and Deputy Mayor Elect for the borough for the municipal year 2025/26 have been confirmed following a council meeting earlier this month.
Subject to being elected by Council in May 2025, Councillor Louise Harrison will be Mayor of Walsall and Councillor Chris Bott will be Deputy Mayor for the 2025/26 municipal year. During her year in office, the incoming Mayor will chair council meetings, represent the council at civic events and attend community engagements.
Councillor Louise Harrison was first elected to Walsall Council in June 2004 and has been a councillor for over 20 years. She represents the Bloxwich West ward.
Councillor Chris Bott was first elected to Walsall Council in May 2007. She represents Darlaston South.
