From Wednesday 4 December to Wednesday 18 December, children can visit ‘Walsall Wish Stations’ at their local libraries to write their wishes on Christmas tree tags. These wishes will be displayed on the Walsall town centre Christmas tree, creating a display of hope, unity, and festive joy.

“ We all love the build up to Christmas, seeing the tree go up and adding twinkling lights. Across the borough, we choose to use a combination of both cut and living Christmas trees which is more environmentally friendly and cost effective.

"This year, we’re also asking local children to take part in a new ‘Christmas Wish’ campaign. This initiative aligns with the Walsall Children and Young People’s Alliance Strategy and supports the We Are Walsall 2040 vision of creating opportunities for children to succeed and thrive in Walsall. We all have wishes and dreams, and we want our youngsters to write them down so they can be displayed on the tree in Walsall town centre. “

Councillor Garry Perry
Leader of Walsall Council

Wish tags are available at Walsall libraries while stocks last. The closing date for wish submissions is Wednesday 18 December.

Festive cheer continues in Walsall, Brownhills and Walsall Wood with the installation of three Christmas trees and ten planted trees have been lit up across the borough. The largest tree, standing in Walsall town centre, measures 35 foot and has been supplied by Woods Farm Christmas Trees, a Midlands-based supplier of top-quality Christmas trees.
