“ Councils provide hundreds of different services, and our staff make a real difference and help shape the future of our borough.

"Local government is the backbone of our communities, improving the lives of local people, protecting the most vulnerable and providing vital services that our residents rely on every day.

“Councils need talented people of all ages and backgrounds to work for them and there are many varied and surprising roles to choose from. Whether you’re just starting out in your career or looking for a change, I’d encourage anyone to explore the vast array of roles available in local government and take a look at our popular apprenticeship scheme. “
