Parents and carers of children with additional needs are invited to join one of the ‘Working Together: In our hands’ events made available by the Early Help team.
These events have been arranged to help shape the services and future for the children of Walsall with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families and carers in collaboration by bringing together ideas, sharing good practice and working to make positive changes.
“ We value the opinions and feedback of parents and families supporting our children and young people with SEND and these events are one way in which we intend to work in partnership with them to help shape and develop the offer in the borough.
It is important that families make sure their views are heard so that we can develop support as part of the Local Offer Partnership to get the best possible outcomes for children and young people in Walsall. “
The events are being offered in partnership with Walsall’s parent carer forum, Families And Carers Empowered (FACE) and there will be information available from a range of agencies including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information, Advice and Support (SENDIAS).
Parents and carers that would like to attend will need to book a free ticket on one of the following events to secure a place:
- Monday 17 October from 10:30am until 1:00pm at:
Willenhall Chart Centre, 19 Gomer St, Willenhall WV13 2NS
- Tuesday 18 October from 10:30am until 1:00pm at:
Manor Farm Community Association, King George Crescent, Walsall, WS4 1EG
- Wednesday 19 October from 10:30am until 1:00pm at:
