Have your say on community safety and crime in Walsall

Walsall residents are encouraged to have their say on community safety and crime within the borough.

The Safer Walsall Partnership (SWP) has launched a five-week consultation today, Monday 17 February, which will remain open until midnight on Sunday 23 March 2025.
Respondents of the survey are asked to share their thoughts on key topics such as anti-social behaviour, crime, serious violence and environmental crimes in Walsall.
Findings of the survey will be an integral part of the partnerships next three-year community safety strategy and will help shape the priorities of the partnership.
Chief Superintendent Phil Dolby, Chair of Safer Walsall Partnership, said: “Working closely alongside our partners, we have been concentrating on our local priorities to make our communities safer. However, this survey is important as we need people across the Walsall borough to tell us what matters to them.
Working with partners and people living in our communities, together we can make the borough a safe place to live and visit.”
“ We know that being safe, and feeling safe, is the highest priority for people in Walsall.
The Safer Walsall Partnership has worked, is working, and will continue to work on addressing root causes of crime and disorder in the borough, to ensure people and our communities feel strong and resilient.
But we want the voices of residents to inform our priorities.
The survey is thorough and gives people a real opportunity to tell us what they are concerned about, any particular hotspots in Walsall that are causing them worry, and what they think can be done to create a safer borough now and in the future. “

Feedback from the consultation will be reviewed by the partnership and will inform their next community safety strategy from 2025-2028. All responses are anonymous.

The Safer Walsall Partnership brings together a range of partners to reduce crime and the fear of crime across the borough. The partnership includes organisations such as: West Midlands Police, Walsall Council, West Midlands Fire Service, the NHS, the Probation service and Walsall Housing Group (whg).
