Half-term fun at Walsall leisure centres

Published on

Walsall Council has put up a thrilling programme of activities at its leisure centres this October half-term for families across the borough, running from Monday 27 October to Sunday 2 November.

Halloween Spooktacular Bloxwich

From swimming and roller skating to racket sports and spooky celebrations, Walsall’s Bloxwich, Oak Park, Walsall Gala and Darlaston Active Living Centres will be abuzz with half-term excitement.

“ Our leisure centres offer fantastic value and variety for families looking to stay active and have fun over the school break. Whether it’s swimming, roller skating, or taking part in our Halloween Spooktacular on Friday, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this half-term.

Councillor Gary Flint, Portfolio Holder for Culture, Health and Wellbeing.

Families can make a splash with public swimming and pool fun sessions every day across all four centres. Full timetables are available on the council’s website: https://go.walsall.gov.uk/sport-and-leisure.

Making a return this half-term are the ever-popular Big Bounce inflatable events, which take place on Tuesday 28 October at Bloxwich Active Living Centre and Friday 31 October at Oak Park Active Living Centre. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended via https://www.bigbounceevents.co.uk/tickets/.

Families can also look forward to enjoying racket sports, with badminton courts at Bloxwich and Oak Park available for just £7.50 before 5pm, squash courts at Oak Park for £6.90 before 5pm, and table tennis available at Bloxwich, Oak Park and Walsall Gala. Equipment hire is available at all venues.

Bloxwich Active Living Centre will host a Halloween Spooktacular on Friday 31 October, from 10am–2pm, offering a family-friendly day of spooky fun for £5 per child.  Adults can enter for free, and children must be supervised.
