Get moving at Walsall Council leisure centres

As a new year begins, Walsall Council is encouraging residents to become more active by taking advantage of the range of facilities and activities available at its four leisure centres.

Whether residents are looking to kickstart their fitness journey, try a new sport, or simply enjoy some quality time with family and friends, the centres offer something for everyone. From state-of-the-art gyms and swimming pools, to group fitness classes and one-to-one consultation sessions to improve health and wellbeing, the leisure centre teams are ready to help residents achieve their 2025 health goals.

The four leisure centres include Oak Park Active Living Centre, Bloxwich Active Living Centre, Darlaston Swimming and Fitness Centre and Gala Swimming and Fitness Centre.

A £15 a month gym-only membership exclusively for Walsall Gala Swimming & Fitness CentreThis membership offers affordable access to the state-of-the-art gym facilities which includes strength, weights and cardiovascular equipment.

Walsall’s leisure centres also offer a wide range of other memberships, with options to suit every budget without being tied to a long-term contract. All-inclusive membership offers access to swimming, gym, classes, sauna and steam rooms, at all four centres. Also available is adult and junior 11-15 year-olds gym and swim membership and family memberships for two adults and up to four children under 15.

Additionally, Oak Park active living centre offers BOX12, a boxing studio which has been listed in the Sunday Times as one of the top fitness trends to watch in 2025, BOX12 studio can be used to host functional fitness and effective boxing workouts.

Pay as you go options are also available for anyone who would like to try out the facilities, as well as the Move-It discount for eligible residents.
