Free Sunday Art Club for children in Walsall

Published on

Children in Walsall can get stuck in and channel their creativity at The New Art Gallery’s Sunday Art Club.

Sunday Art Club

The weekly art club, held all year round, is free and welcome to all children aged four and over.

The club is an opportunity for children and young people to meet artists and fellow creatives and enjoy all sorts of arts and crafts such as painting, drawing, printing, sculpting and more.

Children’s Art Week runs from 29 June until 7 July [2024], and the club will be hosting two sessions during the awareness week, each with a different theme:

  • Sunday 29 June - Cellophane circle art
  • Sunday 7 July – Drawing reflections in spheres

Both sessions run from 12-3pm on a drop-in basis, and there is no need to book.

A Walsall Council spokesperson said, “The Sunday Art Club is a great chance for our young children to have fun and express themselves through art and creative activities.

“It runs all-year around, and each week has a different focus and activity.

“All sessions are free of charge, and are delivered by artists, so why not bring your little ones along, give it a go and enjoy being arty!”
