The We Are Walsall 2040 roadshows came to a close this weekend following a visit to Walsall FC’s home match against Tranmere Rovers and a special appearance from Santa. The roadshows, aimed at gathering insights and resident feedback on the 17-year vision for the future of Walsall, have seen a good response from the community.

Over the past month, the We Are Walsall 2040 team travelled around the borough, stopping at key locations to connect with residents and partners alike. The roadshows have provided a platform for dialogue, allowing residents to have their say and involvement in the recently launched vision.

The ten locations visited during the roadshows included Pelsall, Aldridge, Walsall’s Knife Angel event and Walsall Football Club along with a host of other partners and district venues, where the We Are Walsall 2040 team engaged with residents and community partners.

“ We are pleased by the response to our We Are Walsall 2040 roadshows. It has been key to connect with residents and partners to deliver the vision for the borough. We have engaged in useful and key conversations with our residents where they have outlined their thoughts with our team

We will be returning with the roadshow early in the new year where we’ll look to visit those areas we weren’t able to cover in December.

Councillor Garry Perry
Walsall Council

During the Roadshow, residents have been encouraged to talk about the vision and how they can help shape a better future for the borough of Walsall.
