“ I am absolutely thrilled to be taking up the permanent position as Director of Public Health. We are keen to progress our work in enhancing the health and wellbeing of Walsall communities, recognising the current challenges we face in the borough and across the Black Country.

The core work of public health and local government, working alongside key partners and our communities, is focused on creating a healthy and prosperous borough. This involves building an environment in which people can thrive, empowering people and professionals to have the right conversations about health and that our residents get the support they need.

I am excited to be continuing to work with our dedicated Public Health team to serve our local communities. “
