Dick Whittington strikes gold - Walsall Arena’s best-selling panto yet!
Published on
Walsall Arena is celebrating a record-breaking season as last year’s Dick Whittington pantomime became the best-selling at the venue. With ticket sales soaring year-on-year, the festive production dazzled audiences throughout December, receiving glowing reviews and fantastic feedback.
As the only professional pantomime in Walsall, Dick Whittington proved to be a ‘purr-fect’ hit, capturing the imaginations of families with its mix of comedy, spectacular sets, and magical moments. The show ran to packed houses, with audience members praising its high-energy performances, catchy tunes, and an unforgettable cast.
“ It’s been a fantastic season for the Dick Whittington panto, and the feedback from families has been nothing short of glowing. Walsall is lucky to have such a brilliant venue like the Arena, which continues to bring top-tier entertainment for all ages. The performances have really captured the spirit of the season, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2025! “
Looking ahead, preparations are already underway for the 2025 panto, which will be announced in the coming months.
But that’s not all! The Arena has a packed year ahead. Comedian Chris McCausland returns to the Arena next week for a sold-out show, followed by a sensational celebration of the great Celine Dion on 1 February. The beloved BBC Radio 4 programme Gardeners' Question Time will also be recording in front of a live studio audience on 4 February.
Taylormania will hit Walsall on 8 and 13 March for Taylor Swift fans. Aled Jones will be celebrating his 40-year career on 16 May and experience Paul McCartney’s back catalogue on stage on 13 September.
Jason Manford will bring his all-new live show to the Arena on 6 November and get ready to be transported into the mesmerising world of legendary Michael Bublé with Bublé by Candlelight on the 22 November.
