Council launches Bridgit Care App to support Unpaid Carers

Published on

Walsall Council is pleased to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the West Midlands Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) to empower unpaid family carers through the innovative Bridgit Care App.

The New Bridgit Care App

Bridgit Care, a revolutionary social enterprise, uses cutting-edge AI technology to provide real-time, personalized assistance to carers. The App delivers free services including 24-hour access to WhatsApp coaches who offer emotional and practical support through messaging, access to national discounts and exclusive offers to ease financial burden.

This initiative marks a crucial step in supporting and valuing the vital role that nearly 30,000 unpaid carers play in the Walsall community, especially with the challenges faced by unpaid carers during winter months.

Recognising the increased pressure on carers and healthcare systems during winter, Walsall Council and West Midlands ADASS are proactively taking steps to alleviate these burdens. By Launching Bridgit Care, the partnership aims to make a significant difference to improve the lives of unpaid carers across the region.

“ This partnership with West Midlands ADASS and the introduction of Bridgit Care App reflects our unwavering commitment to the well-being of carers who dedicate their time to care for our community.

We recognize the invaluable contribution of unpaid carers, and we are dedicated to supporting them, especially during these challenging winter months. Bridgit Care is an innovative and impactful solution that provides real time support to reduce healthcare strain, and ultimately strengthen our community. “
