Bookings open for Walsall Council’s summer Holiday Activity and Food programme 2024
Published on
Bookings have opened for the council’s summer session of its Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme this week, and eligible families* are encouraged to sign up to activities.
The council works with over 70 providers in the borough to offer children and young people aged 5 to 16 years old, fun, local activities during the holidays, and the opportunity to learn and develop new skills.
As part of the programme, children are provided a healthy meal and also given healthy and exciting recipes and ingredients to try out with their families.
The four-week summer programme for 2024 will be available during the following dates:
• Monday 29 July to Thursday 1 August
• Monday 5 August to Thursday 8 August
• Monday 12 August to Thursday 15 August
• Monday 19 August to Thursday 22 August
Eligible families can register for the programme at any time during the year, and bookings for the summer programme opened on Thursday 20 June 2024.
Families that are already registered on the HAF programme will be receiving an information pack containing a unique booking code for each child that is eligible to book places for the upcoming activities.
Further information and details of how to register on the programme are available on the council’s website.
Walsall Right for Children (WR4C) facilitates the HAF programme and is recruiting volunteers to help with a range of activities, delivering fulfilling holidays for children and young people. If you think this could be something you can support us with, take a look at the website for more information and register your interest. You can also contact the team by email at: WR4C@walsall.gov.uk.
