Sponsored by Hydesville Tower School, the event will feature live music, fairground rides, food and drink, culminating in a fireworks display at 7.30pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available on the night.

The council is working with West Midlands Police to tackle firework misuse and anti-social behaviour ahead of Halloween, Bonfire Night and Diwali. Increased police patrols will take place in hotspot areas and town centres to help address dangerous behaviour and keep communities safe. The council’s Trading Standards team is also reminding residents to buy fireworks only from reputable sellers, always follow the safety instructions, and consider the impact on neighbours, young children and pets.

“ Walsall Council would like to thank Hydesville Tower School for its support as a sponsor of this year’s Fireworks Spectacular.

Fireworks can be an exciting part of autumn celebrations, but children’s safety must always come first. We encourage families to choose organised displays wherever possible, follow safety guidance and supervise children closely so everyone can enjoy the occasion.
“

Councillor Ian Benton, Portfolio Holder for Street Scene and Enforcement
Walsall Council

“ Fireworks can be an exciting part of autumn celebrations, particularly for children, but it is essential that their safety always comes first.

Fireworks and sparklers can cause serious injuries if they are not handled correctly, so we encourage families to choose organised displays wherever possible and to follow safety guidance. Children should never be left unsupervised around fireworks, and parents and carers should make sure they understand the risks. By making safe choices, we can help children enjoy the celebrations and create happy memories without putting themselves or others at risk.

The council’s Trading Standards team is also reminding residents to buy fireworks only from reputable sellers and to follow safety instructions when using them. Residents are encouraged to be considerate of neighbours, young children and pets, and to report dangerous or illegal firework activity to the relevant authorities.
