Bonfire Night celebrations to light up Walsall

Walsall Council is celebrating Bonfire Night at Walsall Arboretum on Saturday 4 November 2023 and King George V Playing Fields in Bloxwich on Sunday 5 November 2023.

Both events will feature a traditional bonfire, firework display and funfair. They will take place from 5pm to 7.30pm. Adults tickets cost £8.50, children's tickets cost £6.50, and family tickets cost £24. Under three’s cost £1.

The fireworks display will be accompanied by music, which will be synchronized with the fireworks going off. There will also be a funfair at both sites, with stalls selling food.

Please note: Due to the rainfall expected this week, we are only able to provide Blue badge parking at the Arboretum this weekend. Residents and visitors are urged to arrive early to find alternative parking around the area. There will be free car parking available from 15:30 Saturday 4 November at Ward Street, WS1 2AG; Walhouse Road WS1 2BL; Lower Rushall Street WS1 2AA and Warewell Street WS1 2AE.

Walsall Bonfires FAQs

  • Where are the bonfires being held this year?
  • We are holding two bonfires this year:

Walsall Arboretum (pedestrians WS1 2QB, cars - WS1 2DD) on Saturday 4th November

King George V Playing Fields (main WS3 3NS, WS3 2JS, WS3 2JU) on Sunday 5th November.

  • What time does the event start?

Gates open at 5pm

Bonfire is lit at 6.30pm

Fireworks will start at 7.00pm

  • What if I just want to visit the fairground and not the fireworks/bonfire?

The sites will be open to the public after the fireworks have ended at 8.30pm for visitors to the fair.

  • How much are tickets to the event?

Adult - £8.50

Child- £6.50

Family* (2 adults & 2 children or 1 adult & 3 children) -£24.00

Under 3- £1

Please note that all people using family tickets must arrive with their party

  • Do you offer concessionary tickets?

We do not offer concessions for this event.

  • Are you charging for under 3’s?

Yes. To ensure we can control the numbers on site we are now charging for under 3’s so that we know exactly how many people are on site.

  • Is general car parking available?

There is limited car parking available at the Walsall Arboretum event only, but we encourage people to walk or use public transport where possible.

Arboretum car parking costs £5 per car (cash only) and will operate on a first come, first served basis. Entry is via The Crescent car park, WS1 2DD.

Please be aware there can be delays when everyone leaves the site.

  • Is disabled car parking available?

There is limited free parking available at Walsall Arboretum (WS1 2DD) and King George V (WS3 3NS) for blue badge holders, please note that the blue badge MUST be displayed and spaces are on a first come, first served basis and we cannot guarantee spaces.
