86 Local Businesses and Partners Join Forces to Shape Walsall 2040

A total of 86 attendees, including local businesses, partners, and service providers, came together at Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium for the We Are Walsall 2040: Building Our Business Future event. This event explored how the borough’s long-term vision will unlock investment, improve infrastructure and create new opportunities for growth.
Held as part of the West Midlands Business Festival, the event highlighted how We Are Walsall 2040 is accelerating regeneration, attracting investment and strengthening Walsall’s position as an ambitious and dynamic place to do business, delivering benefits for both businesses and residents.

The event featured a keynote address from local entrepreneur Nathan Taylor, CEO of Walsall Wood Tyre & Service Ltd and founder of BAY38 and Vehicle House, who shared his journey of building and scaling successful businesses in Walsall.
A business-led panel provided insight into the opportunities emerging across the borough. Representatives from G H Stafford, Surespan, Pro Guard Security, and start-up Daniel Nutrition shared their growth journeys and highlighted the support they’ve received from Walsall Council’s Business Growth team through the Business Growth West Midlands programme. Panel members explained how tailored guidance, funding access, and hands-on support have helped them innovate, expand, and strengthen their businesses.
A live Q&A panel featuring senior regional leaders explored regeneration, skills and partnership working to support sustainable growth. Professor Delma Dwight provided an overview of Walsall’s current economic position and future opportunities, while a Business Support Marketplace showcased the funding and guidance available to help local businesses grow and innovate.
