Switching energy providers

Community switching

The Big Community Switch uses the bargaining power of your community to get the best energy deal for you.

Since we joined the scheme in 2017, 1925 residents have switched generating a total saving in energy bills of £316,725, an average of £164.53 saving per person.

The requirement for a green energy tariff has saved 379 tonnes of CO2.

You can find out more about the scheme and register for collective fuel switching online:

Suppliers could not bid with tariffs below the new lower Ofgem price cap in the October 2023 auction.

Ichoosr advise that it is not the right time to switch to a fixed tariff. You should rollover your registration details into the next scheme. This auction will take place in early 2024. Ichoosr will be able to let you know then what your options are.

Problems with your switch or energy provider

You can email iChoosr directly for assistance if you have problems with your switch.

If you want to make a complaint, contact the energy provider in the first instance. If you're still not happy you can contact the energy ombudsman.
