What you can expect from care providers

Below are the things you can expect from your care provider. We call this the Walsall Care Pledge.

If you are receiving care you have the right to:

  • expect care, treatment and support that meets your needs
  • enjoy life, and feel and be treated as a valued member of the community
  • privacy, dignity and confidentiality in all matters
  • be safe
  • be cared for by qualified, well trained staff who enjoy what they do
  • expect your care provider to constantly check the quality of its services
  • be involved, have your feedback heard and receive a response

Our Walsall Care Pledge booklet explains each of these standards in more detail.

Care Home Visitors Scheme

We established this scheme to hear what care home residents have to say about the care that they receive. If you are a care home owner or manager you can invite scheme members into your care home. If you would like to be involved please contact the below email address.

Walsall Care Homes Incentive Scheme

Local care homes can receive funding from this scheme. You will need to propose a project that will measurably benefit the residents of their care home.

Examples of past successful initiatives are a community garden and sensory room. Project bids for up to £10,000 are welcome.
