Parents of children aged 0 to 5 years

Supporting parents of all children

The health visiting service offers programmes to support parents with children aged between 0 and 5 years. These include:  

  • introduction to solids workshops 
  • behaviour management workshops  
  • toilet training workshop
  • sleep workshops
  • 1:1 infant feeding support sessions

Supporting parents of children with disabilities

There is a dedicated specialist health visiting team that offers support to parents of children who have a disability. The team also runs the Understanding Me programme for parents with children who have ASD.

Supporting parents of children in vulnerable families

There is also specific support for:

  • asylum seekers
  • homeless families
  • Gypsies and Travellers
  • other vulnerable families

ICON programme
