| West Midlands Local Investment in Natural Conservation (LINC) |
The LINC project looks to create an online platform to enable the purchase offsite BNG sites and to provide an additional avenue for organisations to fund nature conservation projects within the combined authority. Walsall Council looks to continue its role as an active member within the project. |
| West Midlands Spatial Development Strategy (SDS) |
Walsall Council will play an active role is the production of this strategy, with other local authorities across combined authority. This project is to start early 2026. |
| Nature Town And Cities Project |
Project staff will be in place and full commencement of the programme by May 2026 |
| Cannock Chase SAC Partnership |
Continue to be active member within the partnership and continue to ensure appropriate mitigation is collected, to meet the Habitat Regulations requirement. |
| Wild Walsall |
The bid for the delivery stage of project will be submitted in May 2026. If successful, the project will start delivery in September / October 2026. This will include over 65 hectares of intervention, with the majority on Walsall Council owned Land. |
