Supporting service users with personal care tasks such as washing, bathing, showering, dressing and using the toilet. Ensuring that people’s rights to dignity and privacy are respected at all times. 

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Promoting health and well-being of service users encouraging a healthy diet and regular exercise liaising with other professionals to support medical needs.
  • Supporting service users to attend appointments with doctors, dentists, physiotherapists and all other professionals.
  • Following local safeguarding procedures to prevent report and record any type of abuse.
  • Supporting individuals to look after their homes, and live within the community by assisting to complete tasks such as cleaning, shopping, laundry, preparing and cooking meals and maintaining their home.

Knowledge, qualifications and experience

  • Completing in house, face to face training and e-learning training and any other training identified by your manager, including attending courses at different venues.
  • Following company policies and procedures and acting in a professional manner at all times.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervisions and induction programme and resident meetings.
  • Support service user to maintain financial records and adhere to realistic budgets.
  • Administer medication as instructed in the company policy and additional local authority policies and complete raining with external pharmacists.
  • To work within health and safety guidelines and participate in manual handling training.
  • All staff commit to training towards a accredited QCF level 2 or above.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Employment : raise awareness in the community to connect Pakistani and Bangladeshi youth to job opportunities, apprenticeships, internships, and work placements.  
  • Training and Upskilling: Work with training partners to make apprenticeships, courses, and training accessible to enhance the employability skills of youth.
  • Career Counselling: Provide one-on-one career counselling and guidance to help youth identify career goals and develop action plans.
  • Community Job Fairs: Assist in the organisation of quarterly job fairs and networking events, ensuring they are tailored to the needs of young people from Bangladeshi and Pakistani backgrounds.  
  • Outreach Activities: Conduct targeted outreach activities to engage Pakistani and Bangladeshi youth in the community, including school visits, community events, and information sessions.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with local employers, training providers, educational institutions, and community organisations to provide pathways to opportunities for youth.
  • Resume and Interview Preparation: Assist youth with resume writing, job applications, and interview preparation.
  • Barrier Removal: Identify and address barriers to employment, such as language barriers, cultural differences, transportation, and lack of experience

Knowledge, qualifications and experience

  • Education: Relevant qualifications and experience related to the post responsibilities  
  • Experience:  Experience in youth services, employment services, community outreach, or a related field. Experience working with Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities is highly desirable.
  • Cultural Competence: Strong understanding of the cultural, social, and educational contexts of Pakistani and Bangladeshi youth.
  • Community Engagement: Ability to engage and motivate youth and community stakeholders effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employers and community organisations to enhance the quality and relevance of job opportunities available at the events.
  • Knowledge of the local labour market and the specific challenges faced by young people in accessing employment.

Job overview

  • High volume payroll processing of timesheets, involving collecting paper and email timesheets off email systems, sorting them and then inputting timesheets onto computer system.
  • Pay and charge data is then exported into Sage 50 Accounts. Dealing with client, candidate and colleague payroll and accounts queries politely and effectively.
  • Provide bookkeeping services to Aspire People Ltd from time to time; sales reconciliations, purchasing materials and equipment; conducting invoice activities; paying suppliers for delivered materials and performing clerical/ administrative functions 

Main duties and responsibilities

Administration 

  • Data entry of all new starters and leavers for weekly temporary workers and monthly staff payroll.  
  • Data entry of timesheets for 500+ temporary workers on Merit Payroll and invoicing system. 
  • Maintain a weekly and monthly payroll record for all new starters, leavers, changes and bonuses.​ 
  • Running of payroll completion reports including margin reports based on pay and charge date from timesheet booking system and reconciliations.  
  • Exporting of payroll date to Sage accounting system. 
  • Posting transactions onto Sage Line 50 Accounts - Bank payments /receipts coding and importing, invoices and purchase orders, performing balance sheet account reconciliations. 
  • Filing Invoices, Purchase Orders, HMRC Notifications, Payroll Reports. 
  • Any other duties as required by the business.​ 

Payroll 

  • Data Entry of Timesheets process in line with company requirements.​ 
  • Process and submit weekly and monthly payroll including statutory year end returns and P60s.​ 
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating all payroll processes, procedures and timings.​ 
  • Deal with employee and temporary workers salary and payroll queries with the highest level of customer service 
  • Responsible for all reporting from payroll in line with HR and business requirements.​ 
  • Maintain and update static payroll data as per business requirements.​ 
  • Enter variable overtime and commission and expense payments.​  
  • Liaise with HM Revenue and Customs where necessary.​ 
  • Send all P45s/​P46s to Revenue and Customs for all starters and leavers.​ 
  • Chase managers and recruitment consultants for missing timesheets / information where necessary.​
