About the new school
A new secondary school, Windsor Apollo Academy, is planned for Walsall. The proposed location is the former Reedswood golf course site. This land is owned by the council and is next to Reedswood Park.
The school will be run by Windsor Academy Trust. The trust runs Goldsmith Primary Academy and Rivers Primary Academy in Walsall.
School places
The new school will provide:
- 950 secondary school places, including a sixth form
- 24 high‑needs SEND places
This will help meet the need for more school places in the borough.

Windsor Apollo planning team would like to hear your views about the plans. Their consultation is open until Tuesday 7 April 2026.
