School admissions now open for September 2026

Primary and secondary school applications are now open for September 2026.
Parents and carers are advised to submit applications on time, before 31 October 2025 for secondary school applications and before 15 January 2026 for primary school applications.
“ I know it feels like schools have only just gone back and started the academic year, but applications for next September are now open!
Children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 are due to transfer to a secondary school in September 2026, and children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 are due to start reception in September 2026.
As always, we recommend that parents and carers make use of all preferences available to them, which is three for primary schools, and five for secondary schools.
The applications process is all online, and our school admissions team are hosting drop-in sessions throughout this term to support parents and carers with and questions they have, so please do make use of the support available. “

School offers will be made on 2 March 2026 for secondary school places, and on 16 April 2026 for primary school places.
