Free bike repairs and learn-to-ride sessions available in Walsall
Published on
Sessions offering free bike checks and repairs will take place at Brownhills Community Centre across July.

The Fix Learn Ride sessions are delivered by bike2life as part of Cycling UK’s Big Bike Revival. They will take place at Brownhills Community Centre on July 17, 24 and 31, from 10am to 4pm.
At the sessions, Dr. Bike can perform safety checks and fixes and even show riders how to complete future fixes themselves.
In addition to maintenance, support to learn how to ride a bike and local guided rides are also on offer.
“ Cycling is a great way to stay active and keep healthy.
“A common barrier to cycling is the maintenance of the bike, but these sessions offer a completely free avenue for repairs.
"The learning to ride aspect of the sessions is perfect for youngsters and adults alike. At our Brownhills Cycling Hub, there’s a tricycle available for anyone looking to build their confidence. “
Walsall Council operates 6 local cycling hubs across the borough. Each hub is fully equipped with bikes which can be used free of charge, with the aim of fostering a cycling-friendly community. Plenty of activities are on offer for cyclists of all skill levels, including family rides and bike maintenance workshops.
Cycling hubs are located in Brownhills Community Centre, Palfrey Park, Pleck Park, Reedswood Park, Walsall Arboretum and Willenhall Memorial Park.
