Council considers recommendations for Polling Districts Review in Walsall
The Polling Districts Review is a legal requirement under the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013, following last year’s changes to ward boundaries by the Local Government Boundary Commission. As part of the review, a formal public consultation took place in June and July 2025, giving residents the opportunity to submit feedback on the draft proposals.
Changes from the Polling Districts Review will be formally adopted on Monday 2 February 2026 when a revised Electoral Register will be published.
“ This review has been carried out with a clear commitment to reducing inequalities and making sure that voting remains easy and accessible for everyone.
“It is essential that every polling place is convenient, accessible, and aligned with our new ward boundaries. We have carefully assessed the locations of all polling places to ensure that our polling stations are accessible and cater to the needs of people with disabilities.
“
