Our Neighbourhood - Dudley Fields project
The Our Neighbourhood Dudley Fields project is helping to make homes warmer, healthier and more energy efficient. As part of the project, some homes in Dudley Fields are getting energy-saving improvements, such as solar panels, loft insulation and smart heating controls. We’re also looking at how these improvements affect energy use and air quality inside the home.
About the project
The project helps make homes warmer, more comfortable and more energy efficient.
It focuses on:
- energy use in the home
- indoor air quality
- greener travel options
- access to green spaces
- local energy generation
The project is part of a wider programme funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).
Home improvements
Working with Whg via the Construction Skills through Regeneration (CStR) project, and with the Warm Homes Local Grant (WHLG), we are installing energy-saving improvements in some homes across the Dudley Fields estate.
These improvements include:
- solar panels
- battery storage
- loft insulation
- smart heating controls
We are installing sensors in some homes to measure changes in energy use and indoor air quality.
Roads included in the project
The project is focused on some homes in:
- Ashley Road
- Central Drive
- Chase Road
- Coalway Road
- Heather Road
Not every home on these roads is included.
