Vaccinations
Vaccination is a simple yet powerful step to protect yourself, your family, and your community. We work with local NHS services, GP practices, clinics and care homes to share guidance on when and where vaccines are available.
Most vaccines are available for free on the NHS. You can get them at:
- pharmacies
- your GP surgery
- community clinics
Speak to your GP, pharmacist, health visitor, midwife or practice nurse if you have any questions about vaccination.
Vaccines are the most effective way to prevent many infectious diseases.
Vaccinating a child is one of the most important ways to keep them healthy and safe.
Vaccinations play an important part of pre-pregnancy and pregnancy care.
As we age, our immune system weakens, making infections harder to fight. Vaccines help prevent serious illness and hospitalisation, especially in winter when viruses spread more easily.
