If you’re a member of school staff or a setting manager, reporting outbreaks helps reduce the risk of infections, and helps to keep children and their families safe.

When to report an infection
You should report:
- when 2 or more people are affected with the same disease
- single cases of certain diseases
- contamination events

What you need to report
To report an infection, email us with the following details:
- name and address of your school or setting
- type of infection (or symptoms)
- number of children and staff who are ill
