Book a van or trailer at a Household Waste Recycling Centre

You must book before bringing a van or trailer to a Walsall Council Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC).

You can visit only one site with a van or trailer each calendar month. Visits are free, but you must book in advance.

Who can use this service

You can use this service if you:

You can't use this service to dispose of business or commercial waste. We will introduce a Small Traders Waste Disposal Scheme in 2027.

You must book by the day before you want to visit. We can't accept same-day bookings.

You'll need to provide:

your name and address
a phone number
an email address
your vehicle registration number
details of the vehicle you are bringing. If you are using a hire vehicle, you can still make a booking.

Not all types of waste are accepted at our HWRCs.

Asbestos can only be disposed of at Fryers Road HWRC. You will need to buy special bags and a permit from us.

You must book by the day before your visit. Same-day bookings are not available.

You can amend your booking up to the day before your visit.

When you arrive at the HWRC for your appointment time you must provide:

proof that you live in Walsall - this must match the address on your booking
your booking confirmation
your asbestos disposal permit - if you are bringing household asbestos to Fryers Road HWRC.
