Report a problem with a safety barrier
Safety barriers, or crash barriers, help stop vehicles from leaving the road. They can reduce the impact of accidents and keep drivers and pedestrians safe. If a permanent barrier is damaged, you can report it to us. If it's a temporary barrier, you should contact the roadworks company directly.
This form is not to request a new safety barrier. Find out what we're doing about road safety and how to request new safety measures.
What you need to tell us
To report a problem with a safety barrier, you will need to tell us where it is.
Photographs of the barrier that include some background will help us to identify the scale and location of the problem. Only provide photographs if it is safe to do so.

If you're unable to complete the online form, you can:
- go to a Walsall Connected hub, where we'll show you how to use MyAccount
- phone the customer experience centre and we will take you through the process
If the map says the location is not managed by Walsall Council
Find out what to do if the problem is on privately-owned land (such as social housing land and non-council car parks).
If you believe that the location you've identified belongs to Walsall Council and is not private, you can let us know and help us keep our records up to date.
