WSP Training - Level 1 - Safeguarding Adults Introduction - eLearning

Target Group: Level 1

This is for ALL staff and volunteers working in the statutory, voluntary or independent sectors

This module is aimed at anyone who has contact with adults, this could be direct or in-direct.  This course is to be completed within 4 weeks of commencing your work-role, and to have a refresher every 12 months.


This Module will introduce you to the different types of abuse encountered by adults at risk, and what to do if you are worried about the safety of an adult, and make you aware of the importance of person-centred safeguarding practice.


Learning Outcomes:

  • To have an understanding of what adult safeguarding is, where it can take place and to have an understanding of the whole family approach.

  • To understand types of abuse and what do to if an adult makes a disclosure.

  • To know what to do if you are concerned about an adult.
