Walsall Works Expo a huge success!
On 15th March 2018, Walsall Council’s award winning Walsall Works team staged the Walsall Works Expo which took place at the Walsall College Sports and Enterprise Hub. The event showcased a plethora of employment, apprenticeships, training and community services available for Walsall residents to access jobseekers.
- 86 exhibitors, including employers and training providers
- Over 1,100 Walsall residents, college and school pupils attended
- 1000’s of employment, apprenticeship and training opportunities
The event was delivered in partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions, Calderdale College, whg and the Black Country Impact programme and saw three event hosted in one day: the Apprenticeship Opportunities; Walsall Works Partners Awards and the Walsall Works Expo.
Exhibiting organisations had thousands of jobs, apprenticeships and training courses on offer and they were able to meet and market these to a diverse group of people, both the currently unemployed and those looking for a new career.
Employer exhibitors included Homeserve, leading Walsall leather employer Ettinger, JC Payne, Lovell and Blakemores. Provider exhibitors included Walsall College, whg and Nova Training. With the number and quality of the local people attending, they were able to find some great candidates for their opportunities.
