LEAD are now able to offer Level 4 Data Analysis bootcamps.

Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer. Our Skills Bootcamp is specialising in Data Analysis at level 4, which offers unemployed individuals routes to employment in the data field, or for self-employed individuals (who are on benefits) a way to grow and develop their businesses.

A scheme to help young people into work in Walsall has exceeded its target thanks to council officers and the support of local businesses.

Jobseekers in Walsall are benefitting from a £2 billion fund announced by government in November 2020 for the creation of thousands of high quality 6-month work placements for young people aged 16 to 24 who are claiming a Universal Credit benefit and are at risk of long term unemployment.

Local Employers Recognised for Helping Walsall Residents

On 21 March, the first round of 2019 partners were announced at a ceremony at Walsall College Hub. This included a record number of new Gold Partners, with six local employers being able to demonstrate leadership in the delivery of social value. The Gold Partners were ZF Lemforder, Lovell Partnerships, whg, Walsall College, AF Blakemore and the Midcounties Co-operative.
