Residential Opportunities

More than 6,000 new homes have been delivered in Walsall over the last 10 years. There is an opportunity to lever an additional £800 million of investment and deliver a further 6,000 homes to meet growing housing demand by 2026.

We are committed to accelerating house building and improving our housing mix through our supply of brownfield land and creating sustainable communities.

The Garden City concept, which puts developing quality housing and vibrant communities at its core, provides an exciting opportunity for investors and developers to embrace the key principles as part of their proposals. These principles include: walkable neighbourhoods, green streets and spaces, beautifully designed homes that are energy efficient, mixed tenure, accessibility to public transport, green infrastructure and services/facilities and place-making opportunities.

Largely in private ownership, a significant number of housing land opportunities exist in Walsall, ranging from large strategic (>100 homes) to smaller self-build sites.
