About Us

Black Country Impact

Black Country Impact is made up of five delivery partners who span the whole of the Black Country and have both the size and expertise to make a real difference for young adults. The delivery partners are Dudley Council, Sandwell Council, Walsall Council, City of Wolverhampton Council, and Black Country Talent Match, a project led by Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council and funded through the Big Lottery Fund

Free training and help finding work with Black Country Impact

If you are aged 16-29, not in education, training or employment and live in the Black Country, we can:

  • Help you find a job
  • Support you to find a college or further education course
  • Offer free training to help develop the skills you need

You will have the chance to sign up for:

  • Apprenticeships
  • Traineeships
  • Training Courses
  • Coaching
  • Work Placements
  • Self-employment advice (including social enterprises)
  • Customised training

Black Country Impact will provide:

  • Advice and guidance, along with customised support tailored to you
  • A Key Worker who will support you throughout your journey
  • Additional items to support you, which could include free personal protective equipment (such as safety boots and high-visibility clothing), CSCS card, interview clothes, childcare, travel and more

Black Country Impact is receiving up to £34 million of funding made up of £17 million from the European Social Fund and £17 million from the Youth Employment Initiative, plus match funding of up to £8 million from the Big Lottery Fund and funding from partners.

The Managing Authority for this project is the Department of Work and Pensions.
