Welcome to our Face to Face & Virtual learning opportunities.
Walsall Safeguarding Partnership Multi-agency training helps practitioners and volunteers understand their roles, responsibilities and safeguarding procedures; and creates a shared understanding of assessment and decision making practices. Training can be face to face, online or a combination.
Our Training Offer – we provide access to free face to face and online learning to multi-agency practitioners who work with adults, children and families in Walsall.
Purpose of Multi Agency Training:
Multi-agency training enables professionals to work effectively both within their own agency and across organisational boundaries. Training people together can make a significant contribution to building mutually respectful and trusting relationships, which forms the foundation of partnership working. Our training reflects new learning and recommendations from Child Safeguarding Practice Review, Serious Adult Reviews, Audits, Evaluation Reports and changes in legislation, guidance and best practice both locally and nationally. This ensures that Walsall safeguarding professionals are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to safeguard children, young people and adults with care and support needs.
Who is our training aimed at?
Our training is suitable for professionals/volunteers from all agencies who work with children, young people and adults with care and support needs, their careers and families. Please note that all training will cover Walsall procedures and so may not be relevant to those who work in other local authority areas. Please also see additional guidance for whom a training session is aimed at under each separate training course. Take a look at our multi-agency Competency Framework
