WSP Training - Level 2 - Safeguarding Adults - eLearning

Target Group: Level 2

This module is for staff and volunteers across Walsall Safeguarding Partnership who work or have contact with adults, their families and carers and have a responsibility to contribute to recognise and report abuse and harm.  This module must be completed within six months of commencing work-role and updated every 2 years.

Aim:

This Multi-Agency training course will increase Practitioners’ knowledge and confidence in safeguarding adults. It will help them to recognise own values, beliefs and attitudes influence judgements in safeguarding work.

Learning Outcomes:

 

  • To have an understanding of what adult safeguarding is where it can take place and to have an understanding of the whole family approach.

  • To understand who is at risk of abuse, definitions of abuse, and legislation around this

  • To have an understanding of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA)

  • To know what to do if you are concerned about an adult.
