The council welcomes all feedback on our services. If you are dissatisfied with our service tell us why. Where we can help, we want to take prompt action to address your concerns. Be as specific as possible when filling in this form, and complete all the information you can.
We will investigate and give you a full reply as quickly as possible. For complaints, when the complaint has been allocated to a service area you will be sent an acknowledgement or contacted verbally to acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days of receiving the complaint. You should then receive a full response within a further 15 working days of the date of acknowledgement. If we can send a full response out within 5 working days of receiving your complaint we would not usually also acknowledge the complaint. In all cases, we aim to respond as quickly as possible.
Your comments, compliments and complaints about our services will help us to continue to improve services to everyone. If you are still not satisfied with the action the council takes you may complain to the Local Government Ombudsman
. Normally the Ombudsman will expect you to make your complaint locally, to the council, first.
