Switching using the council collective switching scheme

iChoosr will send out individual personal offers after the auction. If you choose to accept this offer and switch, your details will be passed to the winning supplier.

They will send you a welcome letter, and you'll have a cooling off period when you can choose to cancel your contract. After this cooling off period, you will be switched to your new provider and begin to receive your energy bills from them.

The whole process takes about 6-8 weeks from start to finish. With the roll-out of smart meters, we expect that the length of time it takes to switch provider will reduce.

Problems with your switch or energy provider

You can email iChoosr directly for assistance if you have problems with your switch.

If you want to make a complaint, contact the energy provider in the first instance. If you're still not happy you can contact the energy ombudsman.
