Volunteering in our parks and green spaces

Volunteering is great for:

  • gaining experience
  • your wellbeing and mental health

  • meeting new people

We are always looking for volunteers to support our parks and green spaces.

Ways to get involved

We can offer signposting to local community groups if you have skills that you want to use, but are not sure where to start. We offer regular training opportunities alongside partners to improve the knowledge and skills needed for volunteering. Contact us to find out more.

Community activities

You could volunteer to become one of our community health walk / Nordic walking or Couch to 5k leaders. We provide full training and support to help you become qualified and to start a new session. For more details, please contact us.

Conservation

Projects for conservation volunteers happen regularly. To add your name to our growing list of volunteers, contact the healthy spaces team for more information about what is happening locally. Please contact us for more details.

Litter picking

You can give your support individually or by taking part in group events. Find out more about our litter picking scheme or contact us.
