Walsall Council has made the decision to close its leisure and cultural facilities due to COVID-19.This includes Lichfield Street Hub & Archives in Walsall, all five District Libraries (Aldridge, Bloxwich, Brownhills, Darlaston and Willenhall) and Streetly Community Library, Mobile Library Service & Home Delivery Service the New Art Gallery, Walsall Arena & Arts Centre and the Leather Museum for the foreseeable future.

This is with effect from 2 pm today 19 March 2020.

We have taken this step to ensure we play our part in reducing social contact to help contain the spread of the coronavirus and to protect our most vulnerable residents.

The four Active Living Centres at Oak Park, Bloxwich, Gala Baths and Darlaston, plus the Outdoor Education Service at Aldridge and Sneyd Reservoir closed at 10pm on Wednesday 18 March 2020.

We do of course recognise the impact this will have on regular users of these facilities and that they will have questions regarding library membership and online access to specialist resources. We will give further advice and guidance as soon as possible and ask that you please bear with us in these unprecedented times.
